Axis Lock Ambidextrous Locking System

The Axis Lock is a symmetrical locking system that operates via a spring-loaded steel bar that moves along either side of the handle. When the blade is opened, the bar locks into the space behind the blade.

Its suitability for both right and left-handed use, quick opening and closing feel, and secure handling experience make it popular in modern EDC knives. A similar design can be seen in different brands under different names.
